Subfloor completed & first logs in place

Busy week in Romney last week. The foundations were completed, tarred, and backfilled. The house subfloor was built and the first row of logs is in place- this week, should see some real changes as the courses of logs are added.

Here are a view pictures. First one shows the first row of logs setting on the subfloor in what will eventually be our master bedroom. You can see all the logs that are on site ready to be added to make all the walls. The next picture shows Waylon surveying the job site, this was his second trip to WV.

Next picture is the view from great room looking towards the south, the main view we'll have from inside the house.

Next one is the view from the kitchen/side porches looking in to the woods. This is the area where we'll eventually fence for an area for the dogs to roam.

The next picture shows the view looking out the front door towards the drive next to where the garage/shop is being built.
